Wool felt
Dense, undyed, quietly structural. Wool is a renewable fibre that breathes, recovers its shape, and holds the softness the cooling core rests against without adding any plastic to the shell.

A phase-change material derived from plant oils that softens at the temperature of cold tap water, then holds that cool as it slowly returns to solid. It lives inside a replaceable pouch, so the outer carries on and only the core needs chilling.
A single layer of certified-organic cotton muslin, the fabric old hospitals used before anything synthetic existed. Close against skin, soft in the crease of a warm forehead, forgiving in the wash.
The fit is held by a simple cotton rib, the stretch of a good jumper's cuff. No elastane, no plastic memory. It asks to be worn, and forgotten.
